You’ll find yourself floating too as soon as you watch this video! Very excited to have released my annual Halloween lightshow. This year I took on my own interpretation of Pennywise the killer clown from Stephen King’s IT and the new movie that came out this fall. Pennywise is one of fiction’s hall of fame killers preying on people’s fears in a comedic yet deadly fashion. I am a huge fan of classic horror movies and literature. No joke, my studio is covered in horror inspired art and figurines, so this was a fun project for me!

The most frequently asked question I have gotten for this video is “where did you get the song?” The main chunk of audio is a mashup from LaLaa using the songs from Rezz and Hostile. But if you listen to the original you can hear where I pulled from other audio clips from the movie trailer and other little sound samples of children laughing and eerie wind gusts I have in my library to create a more realistic narrative for my video.

Crawling in a sewer and creating the iconic scene where Georgie encounters Pennywise would have been ideal but since I probably would have been arrested for that, creating an abstract nightmare seemed like the better choice! Cutting together abstract videos and audio is one of my strong suites because it gives me the freedom to break rules of continuity. In the end I forced the viewer to face Pennywise head on with an aggressive lightshow using mostly in your face concepts and moves to create intense color trails signifying the power of Pennywise.  If you have yet to see my Pennywise Lightshow, I encourage you to give it a watch and comment your thoughts!
